Step 1: Accept Terms of Service
Before starting the KYC, you must review and accept Payyo’s Terms of Service via the Payyo/Integrator link.
This is required for compliance purposes and enables you to proceed with payouts once approved.
Step 2: Business structure
Select the business model that best matches your company type:
Individual / Sole Trader
Registered Business (Single Owner)
Registered Business (Multiple Owners)
Partnership
Non-Profit Organization
Choosing the wrong structure may delay your verification. If needed, our team may request that you update the selection and provide additional documentation.
Step 3: Enter Legal Information
Fill out the legal information form with your official company details. This includes:
Legal Name (must match your registration document)
Trading Name (if different)
Company Registration Number
VAT Number (if applicable)
Business Address
Type of Service you offer
Representative information is also required (person authorized to operate the Payyo account).
Step 4: Provide Bank Account Details
Enter the details of the bank account that will be used to receive payouts.
Ensure that:
The account holder name matches your business or representative details.
You upload a recent bank statement (issued within 3 months) as proof.
Sensitive information (e.g., balances on the bank statement) can be blurred, but account numbers and owner details must remain visible.
Step 5: Upload Required Documents
This is the most important part of the process. Please ensure all documents are:
Clear and legible (no screenshots, blurry photos, or partial uploads).
Current (ID must be valid, bank statements <3 months, proof of address <12 months).
Consistent (information must match exactly across forms and documents).
Examples of documents required:
Proof of Identity: Passport, National ID (front & back), or Driver’s License (front & back).
Proof of Address: Utility bill (electricity, water, gas) or government issued letter.
Business Registration: Official certificate from the relevant authority.
Screenshot from RBO website (for incorporated entities only). Screenshot should contain list of beneficial owners and company information
Company incorporation documents / Proof of Registration (e.g. Articles of Association, Memorandum of Association)
Corporate / Company Filings with regulators (e.g. Annual returns, Change of Directors)
Audited Financial Statements (financial statements certified by a third party audit firm or law firm)
Bank Statement: Showing account number, bank, and owner name and issue date.
Beneficial Owner Declaration: for registered businesses with multiple shareholders or if the owner/beneficial owner can not be identified in the business registration.
Letter of Authorisation: When the representative is not mentioned in the business registration, a letter of authorisation is required signed by someone mentioned in the business registration.
Step 6: Confirmation & Review
Once all forms are completed and documents uploaded, you’ll reach the confirmation page.
Review all entries carefully before clicking confirm.
After submission, your account will be in “Ready to Review” status.
Tips for a Smooth KYC
Provide as much information as possible from the beginning.
Double-check that names, numbers, and addresses match your official registration.
Upload both front and back of IDs.
Avoid abbreviations (e.g., use “Anthony Jonas Doe” instead of “A J Doe”).
Check scans at 100% zoom before uploading to ensure readability.
